Paul Madera
Managing Director
Paul Madera was a founder of Meritech in 1999 and currently focuses on the storage, eCommerce, SAAS, semiconductor and digital consumer sectors. He has been directly involved with Meritech's investments into Acopia, Corvis Corporation, Netsuite and Topspin, and led Meritech's investments into 2Wire, Homestead Technologies, IntraLase, Riverbed Technology and Salesforce.com.
Prior to Meritech, Paul was Managing Director and Head of the Private Equity Group at Montgomery Securities/Banc of America. He began his career in finance as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he served in the United States Air Force as an F-16 Instructor Pilot and a member of the Air Force Liaison Office and representative to the Senate and House Armed Services Committees.
Paul holds a B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and current serves on the Board of Directors of the USAFA Endowment.
